I know throughout some trial seasons we all face, it’s very difficult to pinpoint exactly where God is through it all. It’s important to understand that through a difficult season, we must cling to God. No, really I mean cling to Him. We must be at arms length of our weapon. (the Bible) At ant giving point we must be able to get into battle formation (on our knees). You can find the strongest warrior on their knees. I’ve been in a battling season right now, but this is the closest I’ve felt to God in my entire life. Are you wondering or very eager to be the same way? I will show you how.
Trust that God is there: “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews 4:16
After Jesus was crucified, the walls that bounded us from God were stripped away forever. When Jesus dropped His last drop of innocent blood, our blood was made new and pure. Now that we have a way to God, we no longer need to be afraid. We need to act bold and stand before God because He is for us!! He wants us to come to Him with our needs and sorrows because He loves us. Know that God is always here for you and He will always be.
Pray positively: “And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.” 1 John 5:15
When it comes to praying, some requests are a process. God immediately hears us when we speak our thoughts to Him, just the feed back takes a bit. That doesn’t mean God doesn’t want to answer your request. It’s important to understand that even our prayers need to acknowledge Him, not us. This life doesn’t belong to us. We are slaves of righteous. At the same time, God wants us to earnestly ask Him what we want. What’s even more rewarding is that God sometimes doesn’t give us exactly what we want, it’s something even better. Wow! What a great God! We don’t even deserve that!
Change of Mind: “But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
The last thing that will help you to know that God is always here is having courage. The key idea is in regard to our cares, it is not our circumstances that need altering. It is we ourselves. It is our mind-set that must first be shifted. Then the conditions will naturally be changed. We must always know that God is higher and greater than our storms. We must walk through them with courage burning in our hearts. Also, with a simple, childlike faith in God who sees all and knows all, our whole world- indeed our entire outlook – changes.
So today, if you’re asking where God is, pray. Begin to ask God to dwell among you and show you the power that He has given. It’s never that God is too far away, it’s us. Be with your Heavenly Father today who loves you so much. ❤
