“Always Stand Firm.” By: Melodie Rose Jordan.

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13.

This past week I have really witnessed God and His works in my life. At the beginning of this week, I felt very broken. I almost gave into the lies of the enemy and gave up. I began to question myself, this blog, and if God was really here. When God says that He is near the broken hearted, He really means it. This week, one blessing alone has made me not question God any longer. I had gained a relationship that I have been praying my heart for. I decided that instead of giving into doubt, bitterness, and resentment, I decided to get in my battle formation: on my knees. God quickly came to my rescue and granted the desires of my heart (Psalms 37:4 has been super helpful as well.) Now, where I am going with post today is that even though God had answered my plea, I need to still be firm in Him. What I mean by this is, in ALL circumstances, we need to stand by Him and trust Him.

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

We all need to understand that we can never stop being in battle formation. It is so easy for us all to be deceived by the enemy, but also blessings. Now, I am not saying that God’s blessings are in any way evil, but how we perceive them can be dangerous. It is very easy for us all to cry out to God in the midst of trouble. Once we have obeyed Him and abide by His word, He surely does grant our requests. But, the one thing that happens (I have done it too many times) we desire more of the blessing and we leave God high and dry. Sure, the blessing I received has overjoyed my heart, but I need to want God more. After all, He is the only one that looks at us as perfect, when this world looks at us as imperfect.

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

I have stated this verse 3 times because I want you all (myself included) to understand that God is asking us to stand firm in ALL circumstances. It is so crucial that we put on the armor of God and stand against the enemy, and once we have conquered our battle, we have to remain standing firm. Jesus didn’t go through the battle He did just to lay back so temptation could consume Him. He remained strong and honored our Father, just as you and I should be doing. Remember this: the enemy wants you to fall and fail, but God wants you stand up and succeed. He is in our corner, for comfort, strength, wisdom, and truth. Stand always firm in the Lord!me
